To all the Scouts, Scouters, Parents, and Friends of the Merit Badge Super Saturday –

I want to express my extreme gratitude to everyone who has participated and helped us to offer these events over the years. We have had some amazing experiences and accomplished a lot these past 15 years. I have memories to last me a lifetime.

The Lord has blessed this work. We have never had to cancel events due to weather. When we were told The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was getting out of Scouting and that we needed to find a new home – we were blessed to find one. When Covid shut everything down and took away our new location, we were invited back home to the Church to continue holding events. We’ve held 45 events at the Columbus Ohio Stake Center and 1 event at Capital University.

Now, after prayerful thought and consideration, I have decided that it is time to bring the Merit Badge Super Saturday to a close. Our August 2026 event, celebrated the end of our 15th program year, and was our last. As the Lord calls me to move on to something new, I know He still loves this work. I am grateful for the positive impact Scouting can have on young people and for the opportunity I, and my family, have had to have a small impact on so many over these past 15 years.
